God Was AlwaysThere, I Know It...

LIFT JESUS HIGHER CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP YOUTH CAMP 2008
Camp Humayan - Bago City

Im gonna make this direct to the point lol. So basically, everythng in this article is all about our church's youth camp. There are those moment in which i couldn't forget because it was soo memorable and lyk everytime i recall, there's this conviction inside of me telling that i regain myself and lyk, i reload and ignited the fire within me again.

Ok, so it started with of course traveling and it was lyk 20km away from the city i guess? and then when we finally got to this certain place, it was soo peaceful and very relaxing (lyk a particular place good for meditating =D) in a way that the landscape itself is gorgeous and native filipino type. You cant find any high tech stuffs cos basically, it's sorrounded by humayan (rice fields). So we had our first meeting about the rules, our groups and some important stuffs that we should follow and then they assigned us to our designated cabins. We wished we were in one of the Ifugaos (some sorta big tree house) cos it looked very warm and unique ya know. But unfotunately, we were just assigned n one of the dorm-like rooms that has a cr and a bathroom (separated). It was also comftable tho :)

Our first session (church's Pastor was the speaker) was all about the parable of a pencil lyk how we should let God use us jst lyk how we use a pencil. So u know, it was very inspiring thinking that as young people of this generation, we should make a stand and use our voice to evangelize and minister with the people esp to those unbelievers. Afterwards, we had a bunch of games conducted by a teacher from Trinity and it was super super fun (we were actually working as a group) and by the end of it, he explained to us the biblical reflection of every game. It was awakening somehow :)

-skipping to the first night-
*so our first night session was all about how Christ suffered on the cross and died for us so that we can be saved and have eternal life. The youth leader (tita Gas, our speaker) gave each of us a nail with a red paint at the bottom (signifies blood) and then let us meditate and imagine the suffering of Christ and we repented from our sins. The song playin was 'Worthy is the Lamb' and everyone were lyk cryin ang pouring theirselves n the presence of God lyk it was totally lyk a blessing.

The rest of the session topics are as follows:

*relationship with family-how can we breakthrough by loving our family
*standing up if ever we fall down-teaching to still continue serving Christ even tho unbelievers mock Christians and then making the path straight if ever we committed sin
*meaning of my sexuality-staying pure til marriage and making a commitment to stay pure

The last night was the most amazing and outrageous part of the camp. We worked as a group and they teach us everything we should do in order to pass the tests. 'Finding the Cross' was the name of the activity but before we go to the main part, all of us are blind folded and we should lyk call the shepherd (which represents Jesus) and ask help from Him to lead us to our pathway in entering the kingdom of God. My groupmates were soo complicated lyk they totally didnt get the main point at first. Eventually, we realize that we really need to listen to the voice of the shepherd and ask help from Him. Ok so He already helped us and now it was tym to hold on to the ropes. I was kinda lyk nervous because i might get lost or i might trip OR i might go to a wrong place and screw everything. There were soo many obstacles to walk through and the key was, u shouldnt give up or let go from your rope and if u do, u should find a rope again. It was kinda hard u know but then the biblical lesson is that, we shouldnt give up in serving the Lord and we should expect some trials and obstacles because that's the real lyf of a true believer. And so i finally got to the finish line which was the cross and i hugged it really tight and then cried a lot. There was a girl/guy who asked me why should i enter this kingdom and my answer was simple, "because i've surrendered my life to God and i accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior" so thats it! I finally, took my blind fold off and then there was a curtain (some sort of a entrance stuff) and then when i got inside, i found on the board with a very bright light written "welcome my good and faithful servant". I got on my knees and then cried cried a lot thinking every sin i made and repented from it and there was lyk a joy in my heart thinking that i finally entered the kingdom of God. It was soo amazing and very very extravagant. I recommit my life again to God.

-Homeward Bound-
*there were some people who shared their testimonies about last night before we ate breakfast and leave. We had a li'l talent show and awarding afterwards. So now, its was time to go, we were leaving a very memorable place and the moments we shared there. But, we cudnt forget every single happening from that camp and i can absolutely say 'God was always there, i know it!'

Summer-ous Gin

We went to Sipalay and had a 'tingbanay' vacation since i hadnt spent my vacation a lot at the beach so i decided to go outing at some random and gorgeous beaches there in Sipalay.
